Watch Clowns’ Ripping Cover Of Sunnyboys’ ‘Alone With You’ For ‘Like A Version’

Melbourne hardcore punks Clowns have stepped inside the triple j studios this morning for their earliest-ever gig. The four piece covered Alone With You, a 1981 track by Sydney post-punk outfit Sunnyboys for Like A Version, and they dropped in an original as well.

“We’re influenced by anything and everything Australian,” Clowns told triple j‘s Matt Okine and Alex Dyson ahead of their Alone With You cover (below), which saw them team erratic punk rhythms with noisy guitars and some abrasive vocals.

While in the studio, Clowns also shredded their original track Never Enough, which features on their latest album, Bad Blood.

Currently touring the country on their Running Through These Veins Tour, Clowns will play at Melbourne’s Poison City Weekender festival this September.
