Watch Camp Cope Make Their US TV Debut, Perform Unreleased Song ‘Sing Your Heart Out’

Over the weekend, Melbourne trio Camp Cope made their global television debut with an appearance on CBS Saturday Morning in the US.

The band delivered a three-song set that included the two previously-released singles from their forthcoming album Run with the Hurricane, ‘Blue’ and its title track, joined by Alice Ivy, Rin McArdle and Jennifer Aslett.

Excitingly, the band also performed the unreleased ‘Sing Your Heart Out’, a powerfully emotive, piano-driven ballad which is set to close out the record. “You are not your past, not your mistakes / Not your money, not your pain,” sings frontwoman Georgia Maq on its final refrain. “Not the years you spent inside / You can change and so can I.

Their third studio album, Camp Cope announced Running with the Hurricane last month. The follow-up to 2018’s How to Socialise & Make Friends is set to arrive on Friday, 25th March via the band’s longtime home of Poison City Records. It was recorded with Anna Laverty at Sing Sing Recording Studios – who co-produced the album alongside Maq – and features guest instrumental contributions from Courtney Barnett and Cable Ties‘ Shauna Boyle.

“The first record was us diving into whatever Camp Cope created, the second album was us when we were in the thick of it, and then this album is about how we’ve come out the other side,” Maq explained at the time. “And we’ve come out stronger, more loving, more peaceful and better friends.”
