Watch Amy Shark Cover Dean Lewis & Smashing Pumpkins For ‘Like A Version’

Amy Shark has returned to triple j‘s Like A Version covers segment to dabble in a bit of Dean Lewis and Smashing Pumpkins.

The ‘Adore’ hitmaker covered Lewis’ hit song ‘Be Alright’, which cleared suited her emotive style of songwriting.

While in the triple j studios, Amy Shark also performed an acoustic version of her Love Monster album cut ‘I Said Hi’, backed by four guitarists. The opening of the song was played in the style of The Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Tonight, Tonight’.

“We kinda did that on purpose a little bit,” said the singer-songwriter.

When she last performed on Like A Version back in 2016, Amy Shark covered Silverchair’s classic 1999 track ‘Miss You Love’.

The singer was recently nominated for nine ARIA Awards.
