Derby rockers The Struts have announced two headlining shows to take place during the off-days of their national Australian tour supporting Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash with his backing band Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. The band will take to the stage at Crowbar in Sydney on Wednesday February 21st, with a Melbourne headliner following a week later on Wednesday February 28th at Max Watt’s. The band’s full Australian touring schedule can be found below.
The tour will mark The Struts’ first Australian shows in five years, having last toured Australia in 2019. That year, the band toured the country twice: Once across late January and early February, and again that August. Since they were last in the country, they have released a further two studio albums: 2020’s Strange Days and 2023’s Pretty Vicious. The latter, released last November, featured singles such as “Too Good at Raising Hell,” “Rockstar” and a cover of Lorde’s 2013 breakthrough hit “Royals”.

The Struts previously spoke to Music Feeds when Strange Days was released in 2020. Lead vocalist Luke Spiller explained that the album’s title track, which features Robbie Williams on vocals, was written to capture the essence of an artist they collectively described as a childhood hero. “We need to make a song because Robbie says he’s up for doing something,” said Spiller. “Let’s really push the boat out, and let’s try and create something which has the reminiscence of the Robbie Williams that we all knew and loved and grew up with.”
