Rina Sawayama Announces New Album With Teaser Trailer

Rina Sawayama is coming through with her much anticipated sophomore album this September.

The Japanese-British singer has announced that the new record is titled Hold The Girl – an exciting follow up to her award winning debutSAWAYAMA in 2020.

Rina’s been signalling something new is on the way; scrubbing her Instagram page in recent weeks and circulating the words “Rina Is Going To Hell” into her community of fans.

As to how the tagline is tying directly or indirectly in with Hold The Girl, it’s still to be seen.

However, Rina’s kicked off the new chapter by sharing a new trailer for the album – posted online this week, which you can see below.

So far in 2022, Rina has appeared on a couple of hugely successful tracks: with Charli XCX of ‘Beg For You’ and with Pablo Vittar on ‘Follow Me’. The latter was Rina’s first official single release for the year, though no info has been released on whether the tune will be part of Hold The Girl, or a standalone release.

Hold The Girl is set for release September 2nd.
