PREMIERE: Abbey Lane Reckons With Her “Quarter-Life Crisis” On New Single ‘Burning Out’

Abbey Lane has shared her third single of 2025, ‘Burning Out’, and is premiering it exclusively here on Music Feeds today (June 25th) ahead of its official release to streaming services. The follow-up to last month’s ‘Younger’ is a significant release for the young Sydney-based singer-songwriter, as it marks her first song that she has produced entirely by herself – while also serving as its sole writer.

In a press statement, Lane noted that the new single was “for anyone having a quarter-life crisis”. I wrote it in a confused time of feeling lost in my twenties,” she said. “Some friends were getting married and having kids, others were living day to day travelling the world. I was conflicted between knowing what I should want and where I should be.” ‘Burning Out’ can be streamed below.

Lane released her debut EP, Afterthoughts, in June of 2024. It was supported by an east coast Australian tour, which saw Lane and her band perform at Rockhampton River Festival as well as a select run of headlining shows. Since its release, she has shared the stand-alone single ‘Just A Little’ in October 2024, as well as April 2025’s ‘Baby Step’s and the aforementioned ‘Younger’.

‘Burning Out’ can be pre-saved ahead of its official release tomorrow by clicking here.
