A one-off Iggy And The Stooges covers supergroup has come and gone thanks to members of Pearl Jam, Guns N’ Roses, Mudhoney and more, who have performed under the name Raw Power in honour of the Iggy And The Stooges album of the same name.
As Consequence Of Sound reports, Raw Power’s roster — consisting of Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, former Mad Season/Screaming Trees member Barrett Martin, former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and Mudhoney frontman Mark Arm — performed on the rooftop of Seattle’s Pike Place Market thanks to radio station KEXP, as a tribute to the super-influential punk outfit Iggy And The Stooges.
The supergroup’s snappy (and free) 30-minute set saw them perform a total of seven songs, including Little Doll, Search & Destroy, I Got A Right and Loose. Catch crowd-shot video of the band’s first (and probably last) performance alongside the full setlist, below.
Elsewhere in supergroup news, a much more unlikely supergroup consisting of Mark Hoppus, Tom Morello, T-Bone Burnett and Mumford & Sons have come together in Hollywood to cover a Blink-182 classic.
