Parkway Drive To Headline Australia’s First Metal Festival Cruise, ‘Hellbound’

Hold onto your poop deck because Australia’s first metal festival on a cruise ship is dropping anchor in 2026 with a Kraken of a lineup.

Byron Bay metal titans Parkway Drive will headline the first ever instalment of Hellbound, a three-night mosh party onboard a a luxury cruise ship, setting sail from Sydney Harbour from Thursday, 22nd October and returning on Sunday, 25th October 2026.

The rest of the homegrown bill also slaps harder with the wrath of Poseidon, rounded out by Polaris, Northlane, The Butterfly Effect, Make Them Suffer, In Hearts Wake, Windwaker, Ocean Sleeper, Future Static and loads more.

” Our fully stacked line up will be accompanied by DJ sets, themed nights, artist-hosted experiences, and non-stop metal-fuelled mayhem,” promoters promise in a press statement.

To boot, Hellbound’s Carnival Splendor vessel will also boast a custom-built main stage on the pool deck, an onboard fitness centre, Cloud 9 Spa and daily fitness classes – plus, your all-in-one ticket covers all entertainment, accommodation and food.

“I have been in discussion with Choose Your Cruise for years discussing a way to launch a Metal Cruise in Australia and I’m absolutely thrilled we have managed to pull this off,” event promoter Destroy All Lines top dog Chris O’Brien says.

“At Destroy All Lines we are always pushing the boundary with the experiences we offer the fans and ‘HELLBOUND’ is going to be one for the ages! Marius, Mick and his team are experts in their field and we couldn’t be in safer hands having them produce this incredible Festival on the open seas for our fans.”
