Parkway Drive Cancel Viva The Underdogs 2021 National Tour

Parkway Drive have cancelled their 2021 Viva The Underdogs national tour. Meant to kick off in July, the band has said the arena shows are just “not viable”.

The shows were initially slated for June last year. They were then postponed to July this year.

Announcing the news via Instagam, the band wrote, “It’s with a heavy heart that we have to announce our Viva The Underdogs Australian Revolution this July is cancelled.

“As venue restrictions, travel restrictions and government limitations on mass gatherings are still in place, the massive arena shows we had planned cannot go ahead in their current form.”

Parkway say they would have loved to bring the show to Australia, “But unfortunately this is not viable.”

“Furthermore, our international friends in Hatebreed and Every Time I Die are also not allowed into the country, so we have made the regretful decision to pull the pin,” they continue.

“The safety of our fans and delivering the full Parkway Drive experience is of utmost importance to us but we are confident we will see you all in 2022!”

Full refunds are available for the shows. The band has also announced that ticketholders can redeem 20% off merch on their website. A dedicated discount code will be sent out to these fans.

The cancellation follows a slew of artists calling out Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk for the stark difference in restrictions surrounding sports events and music and arts events.
