King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard Release ‘Butterfly 3000’ In Different Languages

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have expanded upon their 18th studio album, 2021’s Butterfly 3000. After putting the call out to fans for their help, the band have announced a range of new language pressings of the album. The Melbourne psych-rock group asked for submissions via their newsletter, Gizzymail. The responses poured in from fans around the world, and King Gizz produced a whole range of language variants of Butterfly 3000.

The album will now be distributed in Portuguese, Italian, Welsh, Indonesian, Serbian, Greek, Swedish, Polish, Korean, Latin, Noongar, and more. The Noongar language is the Indigenous language of Western Australia.

All proceeds from the sale of the Noongar language variant of Butterfly 3000 are going towards the Langford Aboriginal Association; the Noongar translation was done by family members directly involved with the organisation. The Langford Aboriginal Association was established in 2000 after a group of Aboriginal families became aware of the lack of services available to the Aboriginal community.

Since then, the LAA has delivered a range of programs that focus on financial literacy, youth diversion, language and cultural connection, beginners computer training, early years and parenting support, and more.

The new versions of Butterfly 3000 are available now on the King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard website. The new language variants of Butterfly 3000 are in limited supply, and knowing how quickly anything related to King Gizzard tends to sell, these pressings are sure to be snapped up quickly.
