Listen To Jeff Rosenstock’s New, Surprise Album ‘NO DREAM’

DIY punk singer-songwriter Jeff Rosenstock has surprise-released a new solo album, titled NO DREAM, today. His fourth album under his own name, it marks the first new album from Rosenstock since Post-, which was similarly released without warning back on New Years Day in 2018.

As with his three previous solo albums, Rosenstock recorded NO DREAM with longtime producer Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor), at Atomic Garden in Oakland. The album features contributions from a ton of frequent collaborators, including backing vocals courtesy of his Antarctigo Vespucci bandmate Chris Farren, and Laura Stevenson, with whom Rosenstock released an EP of Neil Young covers called Still Young back in 2019.

“It was feeling like a very personal record for me,” Rosenstock said of the album in a press release. “A lot of it was stemming from the anxiety I was feeling from the last two years, this existential crisis of wondering who I am. I didn’t expect to be doing well, in my life, ever.”

NO DREAM is out now through Polyvinyl, with a free/donation-based digital download available from Rosenstock’s Quote Unquote label. Proceeds from donations will go to Food Not Bombs.
