Jeff Mills, Sneaks, Vv Pete + More Added to Golden Plains 2024 Lineup

Golden Plains has completed its line-up for the 2024 iteration of the festival, announcing the final batch of acts set to join the likes of The Streets, Black Country, New Road, King Stingray and Wednesday in the Supernatural Amphitheatre next March.

Heading up the second line-up announcement is Detroit techno pioneer Jeff Mills, who will bring his improvisational live show Tomorrow Comes The Harvest to Golden Plains alongside keyboardist Jean-Phi Dary and tabla virtuoso Prabhu Edouard as part of his 2024 tour of Australia. The show was originally conceived with legendary Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen, who passed away in 2020.

Others joining the Golden Plains line-up include spoken word electro-punk artist Sneaks, hip hop artist Vv Pete and Melbourne soft rock quintet The Slingers. The full announcement can be found below, along with the rest of the Golden Plains line-up for 2024.

Sneaks – ‘Tough Luck’

Golden Plains is the sister festival to Meredith Music Festival, which took place over last weekend. In Music Feeds‘ review, it was noted that despite unpredictable and undesirable weather, there was still fun to be had. “To be present at festivals like Meredith is contingent on some kind of privileged access,” read the review. “But once here, you witness people’s essential urge to unite, to band together, and to surrender to the ancient power of live music.”
