Iron Maiden Are Working Towards A 2022 Australian Tour

Iron Maiden are part of a slew of bands who’ve had to cancel their tours in light of COVID-19.

Now, we have news they’re working to reschedule the Australian tour for 2022. The metal outfit did originally postpone the tour back in March before it was cancelled last week.

Iron Maiden has since said that they won’t be playing any shows again until June of 2021.

Via a statement, the band’s co-manager Rod Smallwood said, “In respect of what should have been the opening leg of the 2020 tour starting on May 1 in Perth, Australia and visiting New Zealand, the Philippines, Japan, Dubai and Israel, we are currently working on a possible return to as many of these countries as we can, in some guise, in the first half of 2022, more news on that will follow at the appropriate time.”

“The band are all fine and send you guys their best wishes, they are very much looking forward to getting back on stage next year and seeing you all so, please, continue to take care of yourselves and stay SMART.”

Their European tour dates have already been rescheduled for 2021.

We’re not yet sure whether the rescheduled 2022 Australian dates will still see Iron Maiden bring Killswitch Engage with them.
