Hot Water Music have announced their return to Australia, undertaking an eight-date run of the country in February 2025. It will mark their first tour locally in nearly seven years, having last visited in March 2018 to perform at the inaugural Australian iteration of Download in addition to co-headlining shows with NOFX. The full list of the band’s 2025 tour dates, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.
“We could not be more stoked to get back to Australia and New Zealand,” said bassist Jason Black in a press statement announcing the tour. “It’s been 14 years since we’ve done any proper club shows down there, so we’re really excited. We promise it won’t be so long between this run and the next one.”
Indeed, the band will pre-empt their Australian visit with two shows in New Zealand: One at Wellington’s Valhallla Tavern and another at Auckland’s Double Whammy. Tickets for both of the band’s Aotearoan shows are on sale now and can be purchased via Under The Radar.
Hot Water Music – ‘Menace’
Joining the band in Australia will be fellow American punk band The Flatliners – themselves making a return after nearly a decade, having last toured in December 2015. Since they were last in Australia, the band’s frontman Chris Creswell has joined Hot Water Music – initially as a touring substitute for vocalist/guitarist Chris Wollard, but later as a permanent member of the group.
Since Hot Water Music were last in Australia, the band have released two studio albums that feature Creswell: 2022’s Feel The Void and this past May’s Vows. The Flatliners, too, have released two more albums: 2017’s Inviting Light and 2022’s New Ruin.
