Girl & Girl Announce Debut Album ‘Call A Doctor’, Share ‘Hello’ And Tour Dates

Intergenerational Brisbane indie-rock band Girl & Girl have shared details of their forthcoming debut studio album Call a Doctor, as well as a new single from it and a run of Australian tour dates – both of which can be found below. The album, produced by former Gerling member Burke Reid, is set for release on Friday May 24th, 2024 via Virgin Music in Australia and Sub-Pop internationally.

‘Hello’, the album’s lead single, is the first new music from the band since the release of their second EP Fight Night in November 2023. The song interpolates the lyrics from ‘So Long, Farewell’ from The Sound of Music in its bridge, with the lyrics as a whole reflecting on an existential crisis. Its accompanying music video was directed by Tayla Lauren and shot on location between lead vocalist Kai James’ Brisbane home and the Centre Of Movement on the Gold Coast.
