UPDATE 30/11/16: Elefant Traks have teased the mysterious “Imaginary Friends” DJs for their 18th birthday party.
ORIGINAL STORY: We’ve watched fiercely independent record label Elefant Traks grow up right before our eyes. Now, we all look upon the label with great pride as it announces its big 18th birthday celebration, now that it can legally drink AND vote.
Keeping their fingers to the pulse of all things hip hop and at times electronic, Elefant Traks is actually punk rock as fuck. The label has kicked and stomped its way ahead of the pack of other local indie labels, establishing a brand and an ethos that’s understood from coast to coast.
From humble beginnings in what we assume was Traksewt’s basement, Elefant Traks has grown to house some of Australia’s most virtuosic talent including The Herd, Hermitude, Horrorshow and of course Urthboy.
So, you just know they got the hook ups. The Herd will be performing for the first time in a long time at the 18th birthday bash, with Horrorshow, ya boy L-Fresh The Lion and plenty more, and DJ sets to boot. Catch the full lineup, below.
