Electric Fields have shared a new single, ‘Gold Energy’, and announced a national tour for next year.
The duo’s latest is a soaring, euphoric cut with lush future-soul production from keyboardist Michael Ross foregrounding vocalist Zaachariaha Fielding, who sings “Kurunpa nganampa liprulala” in their Anangu language, which translates to, “Adjust your spirit, correct your energy.”
In a statement, Fielding said that ‘Gold Energy’ is centred around “the shared spirit between people or animals or any living thing. When you receive that gold energy, you can sit with it and collect its goodness”. Ross echoed Fielding’s sentiments, saying the song “is about stadium-level joy, that feeling in the best times of life”.
Fielding and Ross will tour throughout Australia in April and May 2022, with support from Cry Club. See tour dates – and watch the Nima Nabili Rad-directed video for ‘Gold Energy’ – below.
