The 7 Biggest ‘Holy Sh*t!’ Moments From Twenty One Pilots’ Sydney Show

Twenty One Pilots aren’t just incredible songwriters, they’re also master showmen. It’s nothing short of gobsmacking that a band comprised of just two people can put on an arena-sized live show that’s as top-to-toe visually captivating and full of surprises as the most blockbuster Broadway production, but that’s exactly what Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun did ay Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday, 16th December. Here are seven of the most “holy sh*t!” moments from the gig.

1. Tyler Rapping On Top Of A Flaming Car

When the show opened with maximum pyrotechnics and Tyler proving he’s somehow impervious to red hot flames.

2. Tyler’s Houdini Act

When the singer made jaws drop with a disappearing act three songs deep into the set at the end of ‘Fairly Local’, suddenly vanishing from the stage and reappearing up in the grandstand and ripping off his balaclava in a mind-blowing climax.

3. Tyler’s Piano Jump

When the frontman suddenly sprinted, vaulted over the piano and landed without missing a beat.

4. Josh Backflips

When your fave drummer came out from behind the kit to perform an epic backflip off the piano during ‘Holding On To You’.

5. Josh’s Drum Solo While Crowd-Surfing

6. ‘Car Radio’

When Tyler ran to the back of the arena and climbed to the top of a tiny but very very high platform to repeatedly screamed the line “and now I just sit in silence!”
